Lepidopterists’ Society of Africa
Lepidopterists’ Society of Africa (LepSoc Africa), focus on the study and conservation of butterflies and moths.
Butterflies and moths, being more than pollinators, are indicators of ecosystem health and stability. We are not only aiming to contribute to new scientific knowledge on these fascinating creatures, but decreasing the rate of ecosystem collapse that occur globally by supporting conservation projects in numerous ways.
Lepsoc have published numerous peer reviewed articles, books and information on research projects, creating public awareness of moths and butterflies within Africa.
