About
Living Hope – Bringing Hope, Breaking Despair, Building Africa
Living Hope is a Cape Town–based nonprofit organisation transforming lives through holistic community programmes for over 25 years. With more than 220 staff and a strong volunteer network, we operate from 8 community hubs across the Western and Eastern Cape and will expand into the Free State in 2026.
In 2025 alone, Living Hope directly served 121,823 people through over 1.8 million interventions, addressing some of South Africa’s toughest challenges: poverty, unemployment, chronic illness, addiction, family instability, and food insecurity.
Our six core programmes work together to break cycles of despair:
- Healthcare & Community-Based Services – home-based care, chronic disease support, and palliative care.
- Recovery Services – outpatient programmes helping individuals and families overcome addiction.
- Life Skills & Education – equipping youth with resilience, values, and employability.
- Family Strengthening – supporting parents, children, and vulnerable households.
- Agricultural Training – empowering people with farming and business skills for food security.
- Community Response – delivering meals, disaster relief, and crisis support.
Every donation helps us restore dignity, strengthen families, and build resilient communities. Together, we can bring hope and lasting change across South Africa.
