Still I Rise is an emerging entertainment, lifestyle and community platform founded by Kgomotso Mngomezulu, with a vision of creating experiences that bring people together through music, culture, entertainment, lifestyle and destination.

Our work is rooted in the belief that entertainment can be more than a moment of enjoyment. It can create connection, celebrate culture, support local destinations, create opportunities for artists and businesses, and leave a positive impact on communities.

Our first major experience is ROD — Ragga on the Dam, a reggae-led lifestyle and music event taking place at Legacy on the Dam in Hartbeespoort. ROD brings together reggae and live music, comedy, food, lifestyle, culture and the beauty of the dam to create an experience for people to connect, relax, celebrate and create unforgettable memories.

But our vision goes beyond one event.

Through ROD and future Still I Rise experiences, we aim to create platforms for artists and creatives, contribute to local tourism and businesses, build meaningful partnerships, and give back to communities.

ROD also carries a community purpose, with initiatives supporting children through dignity packs for girls and boys and raincoats for children in need.

We are building Still I Rise one experience at a time — with the intention of creating a platform that connects entertainment, culture, lifestyle, destinations and positive community impact.
