Vuyisa Sigonyela and Asakhe Cuntsulana

About

Asakhe Cuntsulana is a distinguished South African musician and educator with a deep passion for cultural exchange and the preservation of African indigenous music. Born and raised in a community where music and heritage are intertwined, Asakhe has always been drawn to the powerful role that music plays in storytelling and cultural identity. Vuyisa Sigonyela, known on stage as iCiko – The Creative One, is a South African creative storyteller, and multidisciplinary artist whose work bridges raw personal reflection with lyrical creativity. With a poetic voice rooted in pose poetry, his narratives are crafted for the stage and screen— writing based on true stories, real-life inspiration, and an honest pursuit of meaning. His work often explores deep themes of philosophy, faith, hope & healing, introspection, and the human condition.

Asakhe and Vuyisa reunited after many years of being apart and teamed up to create a special storytelling experience where they share some of the works they have created together in studio sessions and in live performance spaces. Prepare to laugh, cry, and smile while thinking deeper about self and the world. This is going to be a story you will always remember and an experience you will live to tell. Come with your heart.
