Clapham Junction is a four-piece rock'n'roll band from Cape Town who are currently performing their Classis Rock Tribute, paying homage to the artists who have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.


The band has been together as a three-piece for about 4 years and after their last performance in March decided to take a 4 – 5 month break to put together material for a rock tribute show. Due to the exceptional vocal ability in the band, it makes them extremely capable of handling almost any song and performing at most gigs.


They have a number of events under their belt, including party nights and New Year's Eve gigs, which shows their ability to entertain and keep the dance floors busy.


The guys have all been professional musicians who have performed all over South Africa at some point in their lives.


The members are as follows:


Mike Pepper – lead vocals, lead and bass guitar, saxophone and banjo. Mike has the ability to sing U2 songs in the written key, Police, David Bowie, Deep Purple and many more


He has been a member of numerous South African bands such as Charles G & John T, Alter Irving Band, Mello and Jive and The Reckoning with whom he played their own material. He also played in the UK for 5 years at various venues.


Mike was the founder of the original band Clapham Junction in the past.


Marius Geyer – lead vocals and bass guitarist. Marius is a passionate rock musician and a sought-after singer/bass guitarist in Cape Town. He is a much sought after singer and bass player in Cape Town and regularly plays with some of Cape Town’s best bands at various rock festivals.


He has been a member of numerous South African bands such as:


The Articles, Route 66, Magnum4, Joe Public, Rock the Flock, Billy and the Kid, Switchtalk and The Altitude Remains


Martin Phillips – lead guitarist. Martin has played in bands from a young age and has travelled all over South Africa as a professional musician for 9 years.

He is an accomplished skilled guitarist who can convincingly play the iconic songs of several legendary rock bands including, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Van Halen, Police and the list goes on.


He has been a member of numerous South African bands such as:


Caravan, Lumberjack, Fade to Grey, Mellow and Jive


Lisa Jacobs – lead vocals & keys. Lisa started singing at a young age and has developed into a powerful vocalist. In the early days playing on the country circuit in South Africa, she was drawn to country music but also enjoyed making rock music with the then popular band Kid Gloves.
