About

Dancelines, is a classical Ballet studio with a strong emphasis on technique. Under the directorship of Tracey Aaron, Dancelines also incorporates modern and contemporary classes across Cape Town.


Tracey Aaron began her dance training with the renowned Ann Broder, completing her RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) Advanced 2 in 2005. Her contemporary/modern dance training started at the age of 13 under the guidance of the celebrated Debbie Turner, excelling under her tutelage to become a member of the Cape Dance Company.


Tracey, continued her training at the Cape Academy of Performing Arts (CAPA), completing a 3-year Professional Performance and Theatre Related Studies Diploma in 2008, followed by a post-graduate 4th year of training at CAPA


From 2009, while developing her professional dance and performing arts career, Tracey was privileged to work with local and international choreographers such as Adele Blank and Christopher Huggins, to name a few.


In 2011, she made the decision to share her love for ballet and dance and pivoted to teaching. Launching her teaching career with CAPA, followed by stints at Megan Davey’s and Lourenza Pereira’s dance schools, Tracey moved into an independent role. With more than a decade experience operating her own dance school, Tracey also serves as a faculty member with Jacqui Pells.


Tracey coaches and motivates her students to participate in the annual Cape Town Eisteddfod, Showcase of Dance and various other dance competitions across Cape Town and South Africa.  Tracey also serves as secretary on the Western Province Dance Teachers Association committee from 2016 - 2023. She most recently furthered her teaching qualification through the AIDT (Association of International Dance Teachers), supporting her passion to enrich, inspire and nurture young dancers for many years to come.
