About
Startup Huddle helps one entrepreneur at a time while strengthening the local ecosystem. Entrepreneurs present real-time challenges facing their startup and solicit input on potential solutions from other entrepreneurs, mentors, ecosystem builders and others in the local community. Each Startup Huddle chapter focuses on supporting local entrepreneurs while simultaneously providing connection to a global network.
Through a dynamic collaboration with Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) and the Tshwane University of Technology Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (TUT CED), the Startup Huddle Pretoria chapter will provide Tshwane-based entrepreneurs with this global-standard platform, aligned with local and international development priorities (SDG 4, 8, 9, 10 & 17). This initiative will serve as a bridge between young entrepreneurs, mature businesses, and industry experts, fostering dialogue, learning, and collaboration.
Each Startup Huddle session features:
- 1–2 startups sharing a 6-minute presentation, highlighting their challenges
- Followed by 20 minutes of feedback and Q&A
- Delivered in a non-competitive, educational environment
A key feature of Startup Huddle Pretoria is that each month will spotlight a different industry or sector (e.g., agribusiness, fintech, creative industries, green technology), creating targeted opportunities for startups in diverse fields to connect with sector-relevant mentors and supporters.
