Earthdance Cape Town

About

Earthdance, the global party for peace, is back in Cape Town in 2025! Join us as we celebrate our beautiful dance culture as we dance with others around the world to celebrate our global unity in the name of peace.

Earthdance is a globe-spanning event that has taken place annually since 1997 in more than 50 countries. The 21st September 2025 is the UN’s International Day of Peace, and Earthdance will unite thousands of people on dancefloors across the planet with the moving track “Prayer for Peace”, played simultaneously at 12pm GMT (1am SA time).

After a year’s hiatus, a group of veterans of the trance community have stepped forward to bring Earthdance back to its roots for Cape Town in a magical, tribal dance party.

Our Cape Town gathering is an intentional festival rooted in the founding principles of EDM culture – Peace, Love, Unity and Respect (PLUR). Over three immersive days, Earthdance Cape Town brings together music, dance and ceremony to foster awareness of our connectedness as humankind and our love of our planet. The event offers a unique space for us to both connect with one another as well as diving into our deepest selves in the dance.

The festival brings together a vibrant mix of the best local DJs, musicians, visual artists, performers, workshops, conscious cinema, and a curated market space featuring healthy food stalls, sustainable vendors, and artisan makers.

Earthdance Cape Town is a non-profit initiative. It is being managed this year by the Envirochild NPC and 50% of all profits will be donated to an Envirochild environmental development project.

Please note that the organisers of the Earthdance 2023 event are no longer involved and a new team has taken over. Consequently we cannot provide refunds or ticket replacements for tickets sold for Earthdance 2023.
