greentings massive+crew! We're happy to announce our second iteration of "brokken//binaryy" as part of @septober_energy_ 's Friendship Next Of Kin series taking over a few spots in Cape Town 9 - 12 October

naledi chai invites you to 'brokken//binary', a living, breathing sound experiment—an open-ended day of sonic inquiry. This gathering is a communal transmission powered by frequency, memory, and refusal.

Rooted in the textures of deconstructed turntablism, radio art, sonic documentary, and the poetic afterlife of discarded technology, the activation opens a space where sound is not just heard, but re-membered, dismantled, and reconfigured. Together with a constellation of local sound artists, Naledi builds a temporary zone for obscure signals, collective composition, and radical listening.

This is an invitation to witness and participate in the making of a new kind of archive—one shaped by glitch, distortion, voice, resonance, and silence. Come ready for layered performances, ungovernable sounds, and an atmosphere of deep experimentation. This is where past and future touch through waveform.

DJ Set: o8sidian @o8sidian is an undercover filmmaker and visual artist with a love for all mediums that express the unconscious and surface the repressed. They DJ a variety of electronic sounds ranging from nihilistic industrial grinding noises to ethereal, synth-filled breakcore with the intention navigate the treacherous feelings of being a body under the strange conditions of hypermodernity.
