African Investigative Journalism Conference
About
The annual African Investigative Journalism Conference (AIJC), an initiative of the Wits Centre for Journalism, is the largest gathering of African investigative journalists on the continent.
Now in its 21st year (2025), the conference is usually held over three days late in the year (October/November), where journalists from Africa and elsewhere gather at Wits University to network, share ideas and stories, celebrate excellent, groundbreaking work, and learn from one another through a series of lectures, workshops, masterclasses and seminars.
Attending the AIJC is the perfect opportunity to engage with the brightest minds in investigative journalism, gain valuable insights into the future of the industry, and equip yourself with the latest investigative tools and techniques.
