S.T.A.R.T. Rescue

Konrad Jones, a longstanding practitioner in the EMS world, was inspired to establish an NPO called S.T.A.R.T. Rescue, which later evolved into a broader based emergency service provider using the same name. The devastating impact of COVID-19 in South Africa prompted the creation of this service, which is dedicated to supporting the communities within which its members reside.

Operating throughout KZN, the service covers the coastal area of St. Lucia in the north to Hibberdene in the south, and inland as far as Howick, Underberg, Winterton and beyond. With a robust team of approximately 250 members, S.T.A.R.T. Rescue is proud to serve communities within KZN and provide much-needed support during difficult times.

To provide a community based First Responders Team who proficiently attend to and manage emergencies within their areas of operation.

By creating community awareness through social media networking, we ensure ongoing recruitment and training of community-driven, passionate people.

These fundraisers enable us to continue purchasing medical equipment for our volunteers, allowing them to provide critical assistance to those in need.
