NWU Potchefstroom SCC is hosting a VIP Gala evening with the Current UFC Middleweight Champion, our very own, Dricus Du Plessis

Join us for the VIP Fundraising Gala evening with the Legendary Dricus Du Plessis.

Arrival time: 18:00

Starting time: 19:00

Venue: NWU Sports Village (Building K22, 36 Loop Street, Potchefstroom)

Price: R2 250 per ticket (includes 2 course meal, VIP Access to Dricus Du Plessis and a photo moment with the Champ and the UFC Championship Belt)

During the event there will be speeches by Dricus Du Plessis and NWU Vice Chancellor, signed memorabilia and an opportunity to meet and engage with Dricus Du Plessis on a personal level.

VIP guests will also have access to the following day’s event on 15 March 2025 at the NWU Potchefstroom RAG Farm, with front row seats for the auction to selected signed items and memorabilia and light finger food will be provided.

The program will include a Battle of the Bands Competition which commences at 9:00-11:00 and will feature local bands battling it out to see who the ultimate band in Potchefstroom is.

From 11:00-12:00 will be an auction of exclusive, signed Dricus Du Plessis memorabilia items some of which include a signed UFC fighting glove, signed Old School jerseys and a signed portrait of Dricus and many more limited-edition items.

From 12:00-13:00 will be a special appearance by Dricus Du Plessis which will be followed by an engaging discussion on his journey to the top and defending his title recently.

The event will then conclude at 13:00 and the venue will close at 13:30.

Alcohol will also be sold at the event and there will be food vendors as well as other selected vendors on display at the event.

All funds and proceeds for the event will be utilized to assist students with outstanding student debts at the NWU.
