About The Petals with Purpose: Dahlia Festival

Following the flourishing 2025 Petals with Purpose: Dahlia Festival, Hadeco will open up the flowering dahlia fields from 28 - 29 March 2026. The event will support the local Magaliesburg community and R30 from each R80 ticket will be donated to Hopelands Village and Emergency Control SA.

Children 12 years old and under can enter for free when accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket.

Festival fast facts:

• Food and refreshments will be supplied by the local community.

• The event will run from Saturday, 28 March from 8am to 3pm and on Sunday, 29 March from 8am to 2pm. Guests can picnic amongst the flowers, take photos and listen in on expert talks.

• Tickets will be limited to ensure a pleasant and exclusive experience.

• Special talks will be given by Presenter and Gardening Expert, Melanie Walker and Hadeco Director, Charles Barnhoorn, while the event will be hosted by Hadeco spokesperson Shae Gossman.

Children’s Supervision: Children remain the responsibility of their parents or guardians. They must be under adult supervision at all times and are expected to respect the talks and experiences of other patrons during the festival.

Respect the Flowers and Landscape: Flowers are not to be handled or picked without a ‘Picking Ticket’. Our carefully cultivated landscape should be treated with care. Pre-cut flower stems will also be available for purchase. Please remain within the designated areas at all times.

Weather Advisory: Hadeco’s farm event is weather-dependent. While every effort is made to ensure an enjoyable experience, a decision will be made in the event of inclement weather. Event tickets are refundable.

Photography and Media: By entering the farm, visitors consent to their images being captured and shared on social media and other platforms by Hadeco or other visitors.

Charity Contribution: R30 from each R80 Petals with Purpose: Dahlia Festival ticket will be donated to charity.
