Come and join our Gogo's Garden Apothecary spiritual family as we celebrate the African Goddess of the Seven Seas - Yemanja!

All life comes from the waters of the Divine Mother. Yemanja brings us blessings, healing, love, and abundance. She cleanses our hearts, washes away our tears, and purifies our spirits when we go down to the ocean and give her offerings of flowers, sweet cakes, and chants held in her honour. 

Date: Saturday 1 February 2025

Time: 18:00-20:00

Venue: Strand Beach, Somerset West.

Fee: R50 pp (you will receive 1 Blessing Candle)

Contribution for Offerings - please select any of the below:

• A bunch of beautiful fresh flowers and/or herbs (from your garden or purchased in-store) - please no plastic wrappings or elastic bindings!
• Yemanja's favorite colours are white and blue
• Coconut, pineapple, pears, coconut milk, honey, sweet melon, watermelon, white wine, or champagne.
• Crystals or gemstones - white, clear, or blue

Please also bring:

• A picnic blanket
• Your own beverages & snacks for after the ritual

A note of environmental respect:

A part of honouring the Ocean Mother is ensuring that no litter remains after the event! Also, only organic items will be offered to the sea—candles and other sacred items will be removed after the ceremony and taken home.
