About

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ebrahim, and I’d like to share a glimpse into my life, revealing my journey and the experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today. It’s important to me that I approach this with authenticity and vulnerability, as I believe in the power of embracing our vulnerabilities to connect with others on a deeper level.

Life has taken me on a winding path, filled with both triumphs and tribulations. One of the most significant aspects of my life is being a father to three beautiful girls. They are the light that illuminates my world and bring me immeasurable joy. However, my journey into fatherhood has been shaped by my experiences, some of which have been immensely challenging.

Growing up, I faced a traumatic childhood that left deep scars. The weight of those experiences followed me into my teenage years, where I found myself in the depths of despair, contemplating suicide. It was a dark and isolating time, but I managed to find the strength to seek help and begin the healing process.

Life has a way of testing our resilience, and as I entered my early forties, I encountered another traumatic incident. It was a moment that shook me to my core, challenging my beliefs and forcing me to confront the darkest corners of my soul. However, through the support of loved ones and a deep commitment to self-discovery and healing, I found the courage to rise again.

Amidst the trials, I have also been fortunate to experience success in my professional life. Over the past three decades, I have had the privilege of leading teams at renowned international companies, such as TransUnion, Standard Chartered Bank, Woolworths, and Standard Bank. These experiences have honed my leadership skills and taught me the value of compassion and understanding in fostering a positive work environment.

But beyond my professional accomplishments, I have dedicated myself to the pursuit of personal growth and the betterment of others. Through the study of Positive Psychology, Mindfulness, Neuro-linguistic Programming, and my certifications as a Hypnotherapist and Mindfulness Practitioner, I have sought to understand the human experience more deeply and to support others on their own journeys of self-discovery.

As an author, I have penned four books that delve into the intricacies of the human mind and spirit. “Thoughts of Perfection,” “An Enlightened Path to Self-Discovery,” “77 Emotional Well-Being Micro-Practices,” and “Let’s Breathe, Little One” each explore different facets of personal growth and offer insights and practices to help others navigate life’s challenges.

When I’m not immersed in my work or writing, I find solace in mindfulness practices. Meditation, yoga, conscious breathing, and dancing allow me to reconnect with my inner self and find balance amidst life’s chaos. I also find immense joy in strumming the strings of my guitar and embarking on invigorating trail runs. Nature, too, holds a special place in my heart, and I often seek refuge in peaceful walks through enchanting forests.

Having spent most of my life in Cape Town, South Africa, with some time also in Durban and Johannesburg, I’ve had the privilege of living in several other countries as well. These include the Philippines, Thailand, and the U.A.E. The experience of exploring diverse cultures and immersing myself in different environments has greatly broadened my outlook on life and heightened my recognition of the interdependence among humanity.

I have been fortunate to travel to countries such as Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Turkey, and my wanderlust continues to inspire me to explore more destinations in the future. Each new place I visit, each person I encounter, adds a unique layer to my understanding of the world and reinforces my belief in the transformative power of human connection.
