About

I am a passionate advocate for the Autism community and the organiser of Autopia Social Events. As an Autistic individual myself, I have personal experience with Autism. I am dedicated to creating social opportunities that embrace neurodiversity. I believe that fostering social connections can greatly enhance the well-being and confidence of Autistic individuals.

My social events are designed to provide Autistic individuals with a safe, inclusive, and supportive space to connect, socialise, and share experiences. I aim to create a relaxed environment where participants can meet new people, build friendships, and explore mutual interests without the pressure or stress commonly associated with typical social gatherings.

I started this event because I recognised the need for a social space where Autistic individuals can connect on their own terms, free from societal expectations. Socialising can often be overwhelming, and I wanted to provide an opportunity for authentic interactions and community building.

All neurodivergent individuals are welcome, along with friends, family members, and allies.

"This is my 6th or 7th event, I am starting to loose count. Very special/life changing to be able to make friends and feel part of a community."

"I enjoyed the conversation immensely and the cats were an added bonus. I found the quiet, awkward moments quite enjoyable because I didn't have to force myself to communicate... I could just be. I also made connections with some of the folks which was nice so all in all I had a great time. Looking forward to the next one ??"
