Palestine Solidarity Campaign

The PSC was formed as part of an initiative for the WCAR (World Conference Against Racism) in 2000 and as a secular initiative to promote the Palestinian cause in South Africa and to lead an international anti-apartheid movement against Apartheid Israel. PSC members are well-known political and trade union activists, cultural workers, sports and religious personalities and former anti-apartheid activists from a number of NGOS, CBO’s and political tendencies. PSC declaration focuses on the parallels between South African and Israeli apartheid and the parallels between the liberation struggles. It calls for an end to Israeli occupation, the return of the Palestinian refugees and for the establishment of a secular democratic Palestinian state.
