SAKOV SKOUSPEL – ’n Konsert ter viering van SAKOV se 45ste bestaansjaar

’n Feestelike Skouspel-konsert vier 45 jaar van orrelmusiek en meesterskap saam met die Suid-Afrikaanse Kerk- en Konsertorrelistevereniging (SAKOV). Onder leiding van die dirigent Jaco van Staden sal die Skouspel Simfonie-orkes saam met vyf van Suid-Afrika se voorste orreliste optree: Theo van Wyk, Winand Grundling, Gerrit Jordaan, Andrea Kayser-Mitas en Isabelle van Rensburg.

Die program sluit Ockie Vermeulen se verwerkings vir orrel en orkes in, sowel as ’n solo-orrelwerk van Charles-MarieWidor wat vir orrel en orkes verwerk is. Daar is ook solowerke, die Rooi4 Orrelduo en verrassende samestellings van klassieke én kontemporêre musiek. Die verskeidenheid van style en interpretasies maak hierdie ’n konsert vol karakter, kleur en klankrykdom.

SAKOV Skouspel beloof om die krag en kleur van die orrel in ’n konsertkonteks soos min tevore te vier – ’n waardige huldeblyk aan SAKOV se ryk musiekerfenis.

SAKOV SKOUSPEL – A Concert Celebrating 45 Years of SAKOV

This festive Showcase concert celebrates 45 years of organ music and excellence with the Southern African Church and Concert Organists Society (SAKOV). Under the baton of conductor Jaco van Staden, the Skouspel Symphony Orchestra shares the stage with five of South Africa’s leading organists: Theo van Wyk, Winand Grundling, Gerrit Jordaan, Andrea Kayser-Mitas, and Isabelle van Rensburg.

The program features arrangements by Ockie Vermeulen for organ and orchestra, as well as a solo organ work by Charles-Marie Widor adapted for organ and orchestra. Also included are solo performances, the Rooi4 Organ Duo and striking combinations of classical and contemporary music. The variety of styles and interpretations makes for a concert rich in character, colour, and sonic brilliance.

SAKOV Skouspel promises to showcase the power and beauty of the organ in a concert setting like few others – a fitting tribute to SAKOV’s rich musical legacy.
