On Saturday, 29 March 2025, the Great Lawn at the Protea Mowbray Hotel will host a vibrant Market Day, offering over 20 stalls filled with a variety of crafts, baked goods, plants, ceramics, vintage clothes, and antiques. Just a short walk away, The Wild Fig restaurant, a charming rustic farmstead-style venue, pub, and garden, will host a wine festival featuring over 40 wines to taste. Don't miss out on this fun-filled day of shopping, sipping, and exploring unique treasures. The Wild Fig brings "that country feeling on your doorstep."
The wines being showcased will include Boschendal, Backsberg, Old Road, Mulderbosch, Black Pearl and Radley and Finch to name but a few.

"We loved tasting the wines from little known estates like Black Pearl and Pilgrim. The venue had a lot of seating and wasn't crowded. We ate from the restaurant and the food was really excellent. There were enough wine estates, and it was good to taste beer and the tequila."
