About

Join us for our second annual Christmas in July Weekend at The Wild Fig, where winter warmth, festive cheer and exceptional wines come together for a truly memorable celebration.

The highlight of the weekend is our Winter Wine Festival on Saturday, 25 July, from 12pm to 4pm. Your R150 ticket includes access to over 40 wines from a selection of outstanding producers, along with a variety of other interesting tastings throughout the afternoon. A charming winter market will run alongside the festival from 10am to 4pm, creating the perfect atmosphere for a leisurely day of tasting, browsing and socialising. Expect cosy winter décor, warming glühwein, delicious soups, festive treats and plenty of Christmas spirit. Guests are encouraged to dress up in their finest Christmas-in-July attire, with a prize awarded for the Best Dressed.

The festivities begin on Friday, 24 July, with our popular Christmas Eve Night Market, featuring live music, festive food, winter warmers and unique tasting experiences.

Then round off the weekend on Sunday, 26 July, with a traditional Christmas-style Sunday Roast Lunch, complete with all the comforting flavours of the season.

Gather your friends, dress for the occasion and join us for a magical winter celebration filled with great wine, delicious food and festive cheer.

We look forward to seeing you there

"We loved tasting the wines from little known estates like Black Pearl and Pilgrim. The venue had a lot of seating and wasn't crowded. We ate from the restaurant and the food was really excellent. There were enough wine estates, and it was good to taste beer and the tequila."
