Words Uncorked is a curated poetry and cultural platform creating spaces for words to be heard, shared and experienced.

Rooted in spoken word and storytelling, our gatherings bring poetry into conversation with live music, wine, culture and community. Each experience is intentionally curated, from intimate poetry evenings and artist-led conversations to city sessions, collaborations and special cultural gatherings.

Words Uncorked began with a simple belief that poetry deserves beautiful spaces, diverse audiences and room to exist beyond the traditional stage. We create experiences where established and emerging voices can meet, where audiences can discover new work, and where a poem can become the beginning of a much longer evening.

Based in Cape Town and growing beyond it, Words Uncorked works with artists, venues, wine estates, cultural organisations and creative communities to build new spaces around literature and performance.
