About
Connecting People Through Stories
PechaKucha is a global platform that brings people together — both online and in person — to share ideas, inspire creativity, and celebrate human connection.
At our events, individuals from all walks of life present their passions, projects, and stories in a unique visual format designed to be concise, engaging, and memorable.
We believe in authentic, inclusive storytelling that builds community, fosters creativity, and sparks conversation.
What is a PechaKucha 20x20?
Each PechaKucha presentation follows the signature 20x20 format: 20 images, each shown for exactly 20 seconds, auto-advancing as the speaker shares their story.
The result? A fast-paced, energizing 400-second presentation where visuals and words work together to captivate the audience.
PechaKucha was founded in Tokyo in 2003 by architects Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham, and has since grown into a vibrant global movement.
The word “PechaKucha” is Japanese for “chit chat” — the spirit behind every event we host.
