Monique Day-Wilde

About

A seasoned teacher, Monique has lectured in Bloemfontein and Johannesburg and given private classes and workshops wherever she’s lived. She’s completed many commissions, designed tapestries for the ‘Fibre Graphics’ solo exhibition at the SA Association of arts in Pretoria, and taken part in many group exhibitions over the years. The winner of the Art.b book arts competition in 2014, Monique has had 14 works selected as a finalist in The Vuleka Art Competition over a number of years (2nd place in 2016 and merit award in 2018) and been selected as a Finalist in the Tollman Bouchard Finlayson Tondo competition for the last six years. In 2021 she had a work selected as part of the top 100 Portraits in the South African Portrait Competition. 

 

Monique has work in private collections in the United Kingdom, Netherlands, France, Poland, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

 

The author/co-author of 14 books ‘How to’ art books, and 5 Adult colouring books, many of her books have been translated and distributed around the world, including Russia and China - all are published by Metz Press. Recently , Monique completed two online workshops commissioned by TextileArtist.org, based in the UK, for their membership.
