POP-UP CINEMA, FLIPSIDE EVENTS & FRANK have joined forces to launch the first of a series of outdoor cinema community fundraisers under the name BECAUSE WE CAN.
The first event is focussed on Imizamo Yethu, Houtbay. After an estimated 650 shacks were destroyed by fire on Saturday (11th of March) in the township‚ leaving hundreds of people homeless.
All profit generated will be divided among the families affected by the fire, in the form of food vouchers.
Giving back to the community and bringing people together in a fun and creative way is the main focus point of ‘Because We Can’.
Because We Can’ offers a day filled with cultural entertainment, providing the perfect day out for families, friends or couples - while giving everybody the opportunity to give back to the community!
LET’S ALL CONNECT THROUGH DANCE ...
The most inspiring dance film; African Cypher, will be screened on South Africa’s largest inflatable screen. Together we will also dance to local music and enjoy various other cultural entertainment that is provided.
This event is organised for people with an interest in cultural entertainment, connecting with one another and giving something back to to the community !
