The only downside that I experienced was when I booked the tickets, as I bought two tickets. I couldn't add the other person's name, there were such cases like that of duplicate tickets. "Sisa, I am truly humbled and proud to have met Team Dynamic. The KZN World FM Day event at Standard Bank Kingsmead in Durban was a huge success, with bumper attendance and sold-out tickets. The morning networking session, teas, coffees, and treats created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the surprise buffet lunch absolutely blew everyone away. We certainly did not expect such a generous spread — and needless to say, everyone happily tucked in! The tasty, quality buffet, including a taste of Durban curry and other delicious treats, was a real highlight. A heartfelt thank you to Sisa and his team, as well as Meena, Neeva, and the Standard Bank team, for hosting the KZN Chapter so beautifully. The lucky draw prizes, hospitality, and attention to detail truly impressed us. It was also a special privilege to celebrate Meena’s birthday with her. We were delighted to shower her with flowers and appreciation on the day. The programme was filled with dynamic speakers, and Standard Bank will kindly share the presentation slides on Monday. Excellerate Security gave valuable insight into current security challenges in working with the SAPS and crime movements, and attendees were treated to an engaging demonstration by two members of their incredible K9 team — both informative and entertaining. The building tour was equally impressive, showcasing the newly added solar panels and wind turbines on the southern façade. We also learned about the planned borehole and RO water system, which will further strengthen the building’s water resilience. The site currently has the ability to service the building for approximately four days — not necessarily because of large stored volumes, but because of the smart water-use systems already in place. It was also a privilege to have Ms Nokulunga Madlala attend the networking event and she shared exciting insights regarding the transformation and transition of enterprises. Her message highlighted how organisations are increasingly recognising the value and strategic importance of Facilities Management, and she warmly invited everyone to start the conversation and support these new initiatives. Sisa, thank you — it is such a privilege to; “hand the reins over” to you. I have no doubt that you will lead with passion, purpose, and excellence - I’m here to support whenever required. What a surprise, Sisa — you completely caught me off guard by asking me to MC with you! It was an absolute honour to co-MC the event, and we certainly had a lot of fun and laughter, especially drawing Nokulunga into the conversation. I shared with Sisa that I am truly excited to partner, collaborate, and continue building forward together. The future of FM is bright, the opportunities are abundant, and the sky truly has no limit. Thanks to the support team at head office, getting the invites out and assisting with the registration App process etc. Sisa we all can give ourselves a pat on the shoulder, a job well done, and KZN is well on its way The ship has sailed and left the harbour… I salute you, Sisa.
