Women’s Participation in Democracy is critical and a fundamental prerequisite for gender equality and a genuine democracy.

We need to be intentional and take tangible steps to address the most persistent challenges affecting the lives of women and girls. Working with our allies; Men, Government Departments, Private Sector Businesses, Non Profit Organisations and Civil Citizens is key to realising an inclusive and equal world. 

The Annual Women Participation in Democracy Summit aims to bring together these forces to discuss and unpack these persistent challenges at community levels in an effort to establish structures and programmes that will help us navigate through these issues better as a collective in solidarity.
