The Story behind the Fundraiser.........

A Survivor of Depression & Trauma, Personal Trainer Vernon McIntosh will be leading the 1800km Langebaan to Durban Cycle Tour to raise funds and give back to the organisations and services hat stood by him through his journey of recovery.

Crime related trauma is an everyday occurrence in South Africa!

The triunion of the beneficiaries is the result of a botched home invasion which resulted in the death of a family of Lives With A Purpose Foundation. The Power Breed family pet was shot and fatally injured during the incident. Her life was saved as a result of Serendipitty Power Breed Rescue stepping up and taking care of the vet bills. Shortly after this Lives WIth A Purpose founder fostered Chai, a Power Breed Rescue, and fell in love with her gentle spirit and willingness to please. Unable to keep Chai, she was adopted by Vernon McIntosh and is still his lady-love & support. Ongoing emotional support is still available from Lives With A Purpose Foundation. Training of Trauma Debriefers within the community & Debriefing and Counselling services is provided by Lives With A Purpose Foundaion.

Funds Required will be used to build Kennels for Serendipitty Power Breed Rescue (R400k). Provide FREE counselling to under resourced areas and trauma Debriefing training to SAPS VEP & CPF Volunteers (R400k).
