"Simply the best live band in South Africa, bar none! Please bring them back more often. Bar staff is also very friendly and efficient, something that should not be taken for granted. Great night out!!!"

"The BLACK CAT BONES last night at The Daisy Jones Bar at OMG was the best BCB show I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen lots of them! The material from their new album ‘Book of Miriam’ was sparkling and moving. Nicole Theron and I experienced everything from tears to head banging. The rhythm section of Casey Christopher Rothman and Gareth Bunge, (my favorite rock drummer in South Africa), was locked in and generating an irresistible pulse. Andre Kriel is the most melodic and lyrical guitar soloist around right now. I love how every note, chord, and rhythm part he plays are always in service to the song. Kobus De Kock Jnr was revelatory. He transmitted the soul of the music and the heart of the experience so cleanly, clearly, dramatically, and absolutely. His solo turn on Tom Waits’ “Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis “ was transcendent. And that was only one of the many highlights of the night. I could rave on and on…. but I’ll just quote Kobus quoting Vonnegut “if this isn’t nice, then I don’t know what is.“ It was very very nice indeed. Thank you Bones, you made my season."

"A fantastic journey that the members took us on and the tributes made it an evening not to forget. The bioscope was a perfect venue to have a small and intimate event"
