"David Hall-Green's talk was excellent. He clearly spent a lot of time and effort researching his topic and preparing the slides - even going so far as to paint two illustrations to show the ship's anchorage in the bay and then how it broke free in the storm. The Plett Historical Society is to be congratulated on always managing to find new topics of local interest, after years of organising events and speakers. The society's events are very well organised and the accompanying refreshments/meals are tasty and a great way of enabling people to get to know one another. No wonder these events are popular and over-subscribed. "

"Fantastic event. The talk was fascinating, the food was lovely and the venue was incredible. As a newcomer to the area it was really interesting to learn a bit about the history and get a glimpse of the mysterious manor house"
