About

CTL (Cape Town Lesbians) is a volunteer group that hosts various events, from family-friendly picnics to discussion evenings, movie nights, board games, art classes, and more. We try to keep events free to attend where possible to promote inclusivity.

We use the term "Lesbian" as an inclusive umbrella term. It is a label that helps you find a community, not a prescription of who is allowed in this space. This group welcomes and celebrates all sapphics, women who love women (including bisexuals and pansexuals), and all trans and gender non-binary folk.

"Wonderful supportive people. Would definitely go again"

"Another fun, safe, engaging, welcoming, informative and sharing discussion eve. Lara is too modest to tell of her leadership and collective talents. I recommend to anyone who identifies as lesbian, queer, gender non conforming, transwoman etc etc. you’ll be very welcome. The space and venues are safe enough to come alone so worry not if you don’t have a partner or like friend to come with ?????????????????????????"
