The Reel to Reality Festival is a film festival run by Behind Her Lens Visuals (@behindherlensvisuals) that aims to spotlight films made by student, independent and experienced filmmakers across the African diaspora, to showcase the past, present and future of storytelling.
Reel to Reality merges the work made from the 'reel', through a 'real' social experience, to bring about uniquely curated cinema experiences of stories that may be missing from mainstream media. The film festival will be held from the 18th to the 20th of February 2022 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
