Bos Boogie Music Festival

Live music event in the bushveld over a weekend. Some come to camp and enjoy a full weekend, others choose to come for the day. Bos Boogie is about 25km from Pretoria City centre situated close to Roodeplaat Dam. This year Bos Boogie is hosting their 6th festival.

They started with the idea of trying something to support the struggling artists during the COVID period and hence the first festival was born and took place on the first weekend of September 2021. Back then only 100 people were allowed at any gathering, and so they bend the law, as any rock festival should!!!

From the start of this tiny outdoor live music festival the tone was set and everyone was blown and yes, they were bullied into hosting this event over and over again, even had two festivals in one year, March and September 2022

The Bos Boogie grew some from 135 on the first year to close to 600 atendees in the next year. Like any outdoor festival they had a bit of a blow with bad weather in 2024 but they still had a blast. The organisers are still committed to support South African artists. They love to promote new and upcoming artists but don't shy away from some of South Africans best performers like the legendary Piet Botha, Koos Kombuis, Dan Patlanski, Wonderboom, Radio Kalahari Orkes, Chris Cameleon, Pedro Barbosa, Bacchus Nel, Albert Frost, Valliant Swart and many many more exciting talent. Even though they haven't put a cent into their own pockets this festival seams to come back again and again.

Thus they are back again this year from 26 to 28 September 2025
