Queer Feminist Film Festival

About

The Queer Feminist Film Festival (QFFF) is a collaborative event by Triangle Project, African Gender

Institute and various other formations. QFFF is a space of reflection, celebration and honoring

queer and feminist activists and activism. It has always sought to be a safe, celebratory learning and

affirming space for Queer persons in our communities and beyond. The main aims of the festival are

to:

1. Create safe and affirming space for LGBTQI+ persons, communities, organizations, activists

and creators to be in community with one another, in order to share their work, their lived

realities. Engage in learning and unlearning through film and art that shares diverse

narratives of LGBTQI+ persons and the contexts in which we live and work.

2. Engage in dialogue that centers the work and lived realities of LGBTQI+ persons to generate

new ideas and strategies for challenging homophobia and other social justice issues

impacting LGBTQI+ persons & human rights broadly.

3. Creating space through the festival for young Queer Feminist organizers, story tellers,

business owners to showcase their work, gain access to Queer networks and strengthen

their capacity.
