Jerusalem Ministries

Jerusalem Ministries is a non-profit, public benefit organization located in Walmer, Port Elizabeth. Our mission is to support orphaned and vulnerable children, their caregivers (including parents and grandmothers), as well as destitute men in need of assistance. We currently provide affordable, high-quality preschool education to 28 children from Walmer Township (Gqebera), offering two meals a day and snacks.

We also extend our support to destitute men, helping them reunite with their families, overcome addiction, and find employment. They receive counseling and contribute to the community through tasks such as maintenance, food deliveries, and cooking, working alongside the Children in Crisis community center, though they are housed separately.

Jerusalem Ministries relies heavily on donations, whether financial or in-kind (food, goods, and services). We also operate a few income-generating projects, such as woodworking, a charity shop, and security services, with plans to expand these initiatives to enhance our sustainability in the future.
