"This was such an enjoyable and informative workshop, on a subject that is surprisingly complex with many considerations. I appreciated the extra time that was taken to delve into the detail of certain areas and how they are inter-connected. The depth of explanations helped me to gain a better understanding and appreciation for the thought and care that goes in with these type of plays. Thank you Hot Squeak!!"

"I believe that when you are going to tie, whether it is yourself or someone else, you need to trust. To trust your teacher, trust yourself and your body so you can be at your optimum. The Embodiment Rope Space holds the space for you in order to feel safe to try and learn something new. Upon entering you are met with Astrid's warm and eager smile. She quickly set out to encourage everyone to be comfortable in the space and only do as much as they were comfortable with. Our class had a mix of beginners to more experienced practitioners, but no one was left behind and no one felt bored with what we were doing. It was in fact a very encouraging space, we would learn a tie through a pre-recorded video which was great because you can just keep rewinding to the point where you became absolutely lost, and a walk through with Astrid which enabled you to have the video and audio on how to complete a task. This is especially great if you are a beginner because you could just ask for everyone to backtrack until you were absolutely comfortable with the tie. I found this to be a symbol of how the space was created to be held gently and safely while learning rope with other people. I would definitely recommend that anyone attend at least one rope jam. They are incredibly insightful but also fun and connective, you're bound to come back for more."
