The focus of the Women of Hope programme is to:


Empower

Empower women spiritually to deal with day to day challenges that hinder them to break from their past. Things that bring pain and disappointment in their lives.


Guide

Provide guidance on dealing with emotions that can limit women to move forward and affect those around them. This is done through coaching workshops and one-on-one meetings.


Renew/ Empower women mentally

Renew women’s minds or thinking towards breaking-up with the past, preparing and equipping them with the knowledge that will empower them to make proper and informed decisions in the future. This is also done through workshops and one-on-one meetings.


Impart knowledge and skills

The focus is on creating or building a lifestyle one desire as a woman to be economically empowered this includes: business development, financial management skills, image, and personal branding, job interview skills, etc. This is the support provided through workshops.


Physical Support

Support provided to women who are unemployed and those going through financial challenges include groceries, school uniforms for their children, clothing, blankets, etc.

In terms of the community support, from time to time, Women of Hope runs campaigns such as “donate a blanket” and “donate sanitary pads”, these are donated to nearby communities or Women who attend the activities of Women of Hope in South Africa. The Women of Hope is in the process to establish a feeding scheme for the community as part of alleviating poverty.

Women of Hope in South Africa do not provide professional counselling. All the support is provided through group interaction, talks, workshops and conferences. It has not yet build capacity to provide professional support. Should the need arise for such support, the Women of Hope in South Africa will refer the individual to the relevant authorities to do that. Our focus is to bring hope through group participation and presentations from different professionals in different areas: business, health, education, industries etc.
