About

Welcome,

This is a space for you to enjoy.

About Selah:

With a rich and diverse background in the performance arts, Selah loves what she does. Dancing and performing since the age of 8, she has explored movement and embodiment almost obsessively since. She saw fire dancing for the first time in 2011 and knew with every cell in her being that this was her path. Playing with Fire has given Selah the opportunity to perform all around South Africa, and internationally across Europe, Canada, Namibia, Mauritius, Seychelles and the Azores. Selah is passionate about embodiment; curious about the alchemical union of the physical and the unseen; inspired by nature; receptive to what is, and active in creating a joyful life. She carries within her art the intention of radiance, wholeness and healing, to bring together diversity through equality in a way that supports the co-evolution of this Earth and Humanity.

About Nature Theatre:

As Nature Theatre, I create performance art that bridges between worlds—the seen and unseen, the human and more-than-human, the personal and the collective. My work is an act of connection, giving voice to what is often overlooked: the natural world, the elements, the emotions that dwell beneath, and the truth of embodied knowing. Each performance invites a form of ceremony, a container for transformation, where movement, sound, visuals, and storytelling serve as vessels for integrating deep emotional currents—a homecoming to our bodies and to the body of this Earth.

Fire has been a central conduit of this work for over a decade, not just as a tool but as a collaborator. It speaks to the heart and the hearth, offering a visceral connection to the untamed spirit within us all.

Further collaborations with projection artists and videographers have expanded the work, weaving together ancient and modern forms of expression. This evolution has required a deeper dive into my own poetry and writing, and this narrative quality has brought me a lot of joy.

Nature Theatre is a healing modality for both humans and the Earth. As we create space to feel the grief and beauty of the land and our internal landscapes, we open ourselves to transformation. At its heart, this work seeks to awaken an ancient knowing within each wit(h)ness—a deep intimacy and harmony with all parts of self, each other, and this living Earth. A remembrance of the gift that it is to be human: Here. Now. Together.
