The Rainbow Academy

About

The Rainbow Academy, School of Performing Arts and Business (092-334-NPO), is a multi-award winning, registered non-for-profit organization in South Africa that provides a one to two-year skills training, qualifications and jobs placement programme in the fields of performing arts, film production studies, cultural tourism and business. We are one of the only dual performing arts and business school in South Africa, and annually provide full time academic performing arts training scholarships to 30-40 young talented students, aged 18 to 25 years from some of the poorest communities within the Western Cape.

The programme is full-time, accredited and aimed at providing these youth with the best possible opportunities for building sustainable and successful careers through education, employment and entrepreneurship within the cultural and creative sectors. Our performing arts and business education and training programme is of the highest quality, with students graduating with internationally acclaimed performing arts graded and diploma certificates from Trinity College London.

As an NPO of 14 years, The Rainbow Academy is a specialist in performing arts entertainment, education and youth development.

Since 2010, the academy has mobilized the lives of over 500 underprivileged, talented youth, helping them to become first-time university graduates, small business owners, and successful performers, teachers, and activists. GET INVOLVED TODAY!

As an NPO, we rely heavily on sponsorship and donations in order to provide our students with recognized qualifications and education on a full-time scholarship basis. Funds donated to the academy are used to pay for their tuition, rental, travel fees, examination fees, food, wardrobe, textbooks, computers, music equipment, recitals, productions and so much more.

We actively seek sponsorship, volunteers and donations every year from private donors, corporates, businesses, government, special bequests and others in order to sponsor 40 students annually.
