The Fry Family Food Co. was founded by Wally and Debbie Fry in their Durban family kitchen over 30 years ago. Wally was experimenting with creating plant-based protein alternatives for his daughter Tammy, a lifelong vegetarian and after a little trial and error, the quintessential Fry's burger and sausage was created. The rest, as they say, is history.

Fry’s was born out of a need to feed families healthier protein alternatives that tasted great and were made from top quality ingredients - non-GM, quality plant-based protein alternatives for the whole family.

Fry’s is now a leading global plant-based meat brand, with 40 products in over 30 countries.
