Community Keepers NPC

About

Community Keepers is a not-for-profit organisation building a culture of well-being. We base ourselves on-site, in child-friendly consulting rooms, at Primary Schools and High Schools in neglected communities. Our team of 50 psychologists, social workers and registered counsellors support, counsel and empower learners in a holistic approach which inlcudes their educators, parents and caregivers. The therapy that these children received is at no charge and is the same quality of therpy that they would receive from a private practice.

"At Community Keepers we welcome the 'disruptive child'; the 'difficult teenager'; the learner who is withdrawn, anxious or angry; and those who appear to cope but are masking, to keep the peace. These are the children who need us most." Gerrit Laning, CEO

Our dream is to partner with as many schools as possible - building a culture of well-being. Innovation and impact go hand in hand, and we contiunually research, develop and implement new services with the aim of reaching more people and having a greater impact. We are committed to the 2030 Agenda and heed the call of the United Nations to "leave no one behind" and to "endeavour to reach the furthest first."
