Denis Hurley Centre

Operating since January 2015, the Denis Hurley Centre is a multi-faith organisation in a smart new building which continues a century-long tradition of using this site for Care, Education and Community.

Care: by serving the needs of the poorest people of Durban: serving over 3,000 meals per week and running a free clinic for homeless people and refugees

Education: by offering programmes that help people to turn their lives around, come clean from drugs, and become financial independent such as our award-winning project of homeless booksellers

Community: by bringing together people from different religious traditions, different strata of society and different nationalities and backgrounds to enjoy film, dance and music
