Our founder, Bortolo Belfi, ignited a family tradition that has flourished through five generations. In 1994, Luca's

parents, Miguel and Constance, brought this cherished heritage to South Africa, adapting their family recipes to

delight local taste buds. They established *La Veneziana* in Magaliesburg, and in 1999, built a dedicated

ice-cream factory, with young Luca lending a hand from the age of three.

In 2020, Luca took the helm, rebranding the beloved La Veneziana to Bambini Ice-cream, meaning "children" in Italian—a tribute to the joy and creativity of childhood. This name embodies the warmth of our family tradition, passed down through generations.
