THE REUNION

Yoga with Kafui Awonoor & Sivu Nobongoza

In November 2018, Kafui Awonoor and Sivu Nobongoza saw a need to hold space for a community often overlooked by society. From that intention, we created a yoga platform that spoke a different love language:

The Freedom Friends Yoga Experience.

Born from the flame of past struggles and challenges, the Freedom Friends Yoga community became a safe space for the expression of love, joy, music, art, and dance—a place where every person who stepped onto the mat could begin a journey of rebirth and healing.

On 25 April 2026

we gather again for The Reunion.

Join us on the BLACKBRICK Gardens Rooftop

from 9:00am – 1:00pm as we celebrate growth, progress, and the power of community.

This session will be a D'Angelo Tribute with Special Guest Performances from Cape Correspondence feat: Zwide Ndwandwe & Seth Grey.
