Old Georgian Union

About

Founded in 1906. Celebrating more than a century of service to St George’s Grammar School, Old Georgian Union (OGU) represents and serves generations of alumni worldwide, helping them maintain a lifelong connection to each other and their fellow Georgians. The OGU office works to provide year-round opportunities for networking.

The Old Georgian Union has for many years relied on funding from the school for its functions, events and communication. A small amount comes from donations and the minimal cover charges at events.

As much as the donations and ongoing support is greatly appreciated by both the school and individuals, we as Old Georgians and the greater Georgian community have the power to give back in a much greater and more meaningful way.

To continue the ongoing activities and work of the OG Union, an Old Georgian Union Trust/Fund has been established with the aim of taking the financial pressure off the School.

We aim to raise R10 million to help with St George's development and create an ongoing income stream.
