44 on Long as part of their Whisky Wednesday tasting sessions presents their inaugural class whisky tasting and food pairing event. We have partnered with master whisky sommelier Ludwig Williams with over 10years experience in the whisky industry and has been to distilleries all over the world including Scotland, Ireland, America and Japan to hone his craft.
Ludwig Williams started his journey and absolute love for whisky at the largest whisky bar in the Southern Hemisphere namely the Bascule whisky bat at the world renowned Cape Grace Boutique Hotel.
He was the Senior Whisky Sommelier for nearly five years and his job ultimately was to conduct whisky tastings on a daily basis. Conducting minimum of two tastings per day ( 12 whiskies consumed daily).
He then started whisky connect in 2015 and initially it was to conduct bespoke whisky tastings in the comfort of peoples homes, but has now branched out to bachelor parties, corporate events, year end functions, whisky live events, consulting for some of the largest brand companies in the industry and festivals.
44 on Long will be showcasing its quaint wooden floor and crystal chandelier dining room overlooking Long Street whilst enjoying 6 class tastings and 3 exquisite food pairings.

5. Talisker 10yr old ( Highlands region in Scotland - paired with a Norweigan Smoked Salmon
6. Laphroaig Quater Cask ( Isle of Islay) - paired with a Gorgonzola cheese.
