In November 2019 Standard Bank announced their Young Artists of the Year.

It was no surprise to us (although he says "he is still processing the news") that Sisonke Xonti was the proud recipient of this prestigious award in his category.

Sisonke Xonti is a jazz saxophonist, composer and bandleader. A passionate collaborator, Xonti has worked with and performed alongside, artists such as Hugh Masekela, Lira, Bokani Dyer and Simphiwe Dana to name a few.
