Racial Literacy with a focus on Transformation, Equity and Belonging at Schools - Presentation by Ms Lovelyn Nwadeyi

Tue Feb 11, 18:30 - Tue Feb 11, 20:30

Kemp Hall

ABOUT

As a school we have been engaging with and talking about race, bias, inclusion and other such topics actively and intentionally for the last number of years. We have had good, hard and sometimes uncomfortable conversations with one another so that we can ultimately create a school where every individual feels that they belong. We hope that the conversations we are having at school are being taken home and that you have been engaging with your daughters on these topics.

In the hopes of furthering these conversations in the greater Rustenburg community, we would like to invite you and your daughters to a presentation by an established speaker on these issues.

Ms Lovelyn Nwadeyi is the founder and director of L&N Advisors, a consulting practice whose purpose is to see social justice embedded and normalised in business, academic and religious spaces. She is an established socio-economic and political voice in South Africa, being named one of the Mzansi 100 Influencers in 2017. Ms Nwadeyi is currently a 2019/2020 Fellow of the Atlantic Fellowship for Racial Equity (AFRE).
