Due to popular demand GardenShop is offering the Competent Gardeners Course again!

The Competent Gardener is an introduction course for Gardeners and Garden Enthusiasts alike. Presented by one of Gardenshop's very best, Sue Both.

The course is designed to give a firm understanding of plants, gardens and garden maintenance, with a dash of humour, a hands on approach and a whole lot of fun.

The course material is all illustrated and easy to understand even if English is not your first language.

• The Competent Gardener is an introduction course for Gardeners and Garden Enthusiasts.
• The focus is on basic horticultural practice
• The course is in 5 modules and will run every alternative Wednesday

25 March – Module 1 | 8 April – Module 2 | 22 April – Module 3 | 6 May – Module 4 | 20 May – Module 5

• The course is designed to give gardeners a firm understanding of plants gardens and garden maintenance and the course material is all illustrated to make it accessible even if the gardener is not a first language English speaker.

Course fee:  R 2500 (includes all stationary, course material and light refreshments)

Training will take place in the Mornings

9 am till 12 pm

• Module 1: Introduction to Horticulture
• Module 2: Tools Planting and Propagation
• Module 3: Pruning, Lawns and Lawn Maintenance
• Module 4: Insecticides, Fungicides and Herbicides
• Module 5: Safety, Planning and Review

Over the last 2 years more than 300 participants have already benefited from our courses. We aspire to equip garden enthusiasts with all the tools necessary to create the Garden of their dreams, to use safe and environmentally friendly garden practices and most of all to spread the joy of Gardening.

Courses are limited to 20 participants per course and bookings are essential.
