Nathan Smith started playing the guitar at the age of 11, and played his first public performance to a sold out event just 3 months later. Nathan performed on live television at the age of 13 and by the age 15 won the German school battle of the bands, which resulted in His first festival performance at the Octoberfest.Being taught by his Father, Nathan grew up in a musical home, with both his parents being music teachers. He in high school started a Rock band by the name of Dead Sea Surfers who later played numerous show alongside names of Springbok Nude Girls, Saron Gas (Seether), Amersham, Just Jinger to name a few.
Nathan was spotted by Joseph Clark in a club with Dead Sea Surfers and was asked to join him on his production, Joseph Clark – The Music of Queen, which skyrocketed into countrywide tours and European Tours including a single handed sold out stadium show for 35000 in Holland in 2012. In 2012, Nathan became part of the production, Riders From The Storm, which features 6 of South Africa’s best guitar based artists, which has toured South Africa and Namibia.
“Wild Frontier”, a Gary Moore Tribute show featuring Nathan, was launched February 2014 and has received huge acclaim by Gary Moore fans.
Nathan has been composing music from the age of 13, and has 2 self titled albums, “Songs From A Diary”, and “The Sum Of All Things”
