ABOUT

With his 30 years of wisdom, working in the darkest of places and with the most traumatised of society, Luke Lamprecht shares his knowledge and experiences with authenticity and generosity of spirit. When asked why he works in dark places, Luke responds “because there are people there”. Talking compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma, this 3 hour Workshop delves into self care, knowing your why and the importance of debriefing. Moving from the horror to the honour, soaring from sore – ing, being present in the pain, discovery in the communion of others.


Facilitated by Luke Lamprecht - Luke is Child Protection and Development Specialist with 25 years of experience in the non profit sector. Luke consults and advises on child protection issues and is a regular guest on television and radio. Luke is great demand for conferences, events, workshops and seminars where he presents on topics including social cohesion; servitude leadership; Being MAN – gentleMAN and MEN tal health; child protection and development; cyber development and sexuality. Luke is currently completing his MSc in Neurodevelopment at WITS.


This workshop is ideally suited to everyone who works in the non profit sector


Our training rates have been carefully costed for the non profit sector while ensuring we are able to attract the best talent to facilitate the training and share their expertise, growing your knowledge and skills. Our 3 hour interactive Workshops are R520 per person, add R110 for the one hour Discussion and Coaching Session. Our 3 hour Workshops are based on experiential learning – you will engage in case studies and discussions to ensure that the learning sticks and is not just a one way flow of information. Location, location, location – all training is facilitated at The Children’s Memorial Institute, we are on the Rea Veya and Taxi routes. If travelling by car we are just off Empire with easy access from the M1 motorway, parking is free. Healthy bodies, healthy minds – we offer healthy snacks and beverages – included in the training rates.


The one hour Discussion and Coaching Sessions are essential and are held two weeks after the interactive Workshop using the Zoom on line platform. Unpack your learnings and experiences and we will work with you to ensure that the learning is embedded back into your organisation. The Zoom Session for this Workshop is on Thursday 24th  October from 14h00 - 15h00.


Workshops are limited to Ei8ht participants, booking is essential. We required a minimum of 5 participants to host the Workshops.
