At this Entrepreneurship To The Point session, you will have the chance to ask industry experts specific questions about the do’s and don’t’s of accessing markets and funding. You will have an opportunity to speak directly to opportunity holders and financers in your small group sessions and take part in a facilitated Q & A.

Positioning: Understanding how to effectively position your business within supply chains and with potential funders
Alignment: Understanding how to align your business strategy with corporate supply chain and funding strategies once opportunities have been accessed
The Panel
Naomi Mtshali: Pre-Investment Manager, Industrial Development Corporation
Naomi has a career that spans more than 20 years in various positions in the IDC (Industrial Development Co-operation), ranging from Client Care Administrator, to Senior Account Manager and Senior Associate. She has experience in deal development and deal structuring as well as in post investment transaction management. She is currently the Manager in the Pre-Investment Business Centre within the Industrial Development Corporation of SA (IDC).
Nirmala Reddy: Senior Manager Enterprise Development Business Banking at Nedbank
Nirmala is responsible for SME support and development within the enterprise development and supplier development space at Nedbank, including strategy and execution. Her exposure and experience across community development and the business arena has provided a valuable, insightful platform to her current sphere of SME, enterprise and supplier development.
Kumaran Padayachee: CEO of Spartan Financing
Kumaran Padayachee has been funding SMEs for the past 22 years and has intimate understanding & expertise in SME financing. He is CEO of Spartan SME Finance (Pty) Ltd, an independent financier that only focusses on SMEs. Spartan’s niche financing covers Growth Finance, Specialized Finance and Bridging Finance. Kumaran is a co-panellist on both the popular Big Small Business Show and the SME Funding Show on Business Day TV.
